Gheorghe Țărnă (b. 1974, Ciutești, Moldova) is a painter whose poetic realism balances symbolic depth and ornamental elegance. A graduate of the Alexandru Plămădeală College and the Chișinău Academy of Fine Arts, Țărnă refines the two-dimensional canvas with soft pastel palettes, graceful chiaroscuro, and asymmetric compositions that feel both intimate and lyrical. Influenced by Iurie Platon, his evocative works—such as The Tree of Life, Birch Shadows, and Letters from Grandma—draw from memory, emotion, and existential themes. He is also notable for integrating his children’s drawings into his art, enriching it with familial warmth. His paintings have been exhibited at diplomatic venues and major salons across Eastern Europe and are now cherished in collections worldwide.
