Cassandra J. Wainhouse is a Franco-American visual artist whose layered, symbolic collages fuse painting, embroidery, gold leaf, text, and cartography into evocative visual fables. Raised between Europe and the U.S., and rooted deeply in her years in Tuscany, she creates intricately stitched narratives—featuring feminine forms, pomegranates, and maps—that speak of memory, the body, and inner landscapes. Now based in Thonon-les-Bains, she balances her creative practice with her role as Deputy Mayor of Culture, continuing to exhibit internationally through galleries and salons across Europe and beyond.
