Andrei Mudrea (1954–2022) was a pioneering Moldovan painter, sculptor, and art-object creator—esteemed for his philosophically rich, avant-garde practice and symbolic depth. Trained at Chişinău’s premier arts school and shaped by Mihai Grecu’s atelier, Mudrea founded The Group of Ten and emerged as a leading voice in nonconformist art.
