Andreea Rus (b. 1967, Bucharest) is a Romanian abstract expressionist whose vibrant, layered paintings explore themes of light, memory, and resilience. Holding a PhD in Visual Arts and a member of the Fine Arts Union of Romania, she has presented over 30 solo shows and taken part in more than 200 group exhibitions worldwide. Her acclaimed series—such as Hope, Places of Happiness, and Behind the Communist Utopia—combine bold chromatics with cultural reflection, earning her awards in Venice, Florence, and across Europe.
